INTERLIBRARY LOANS

Interlibrary loan (ILL) service is available to Averett students, faculty and staff. (Danville and Pittsylvania County Library systems obtain interlibrary loans for local residents.) The time needed to obtain articles from another academic library in Virginia is 2-4 days; for books, 2-7 days. If the item is available only outside of Virginia, it may take up to 10 days.

Before submitting your request, please check the Averett Journal Titles database or WorldCat to see if you can obtain the item locally. For full-text dissertations, search ProQuest Dissertations and Theses Global.

In nearly all cases, you will be able to download ILL articles from a link emailed by the library. Be sure to enter your Averett University email address on the request form. If you attend classes in Danville, you will be able to pick up ILL books at Blount Library. If you attend classes away from Danville, Blount Library will ship materials that you borrow to the address on your ILL request form.

The library cannot borrow textbooks currently required for Averett courses. These are available at the Schoolfield Booksellers and from online sources, such as those cited by Campus Grotto.

For assistance, contact a librarian.
